Hi All -
Anyone else have an issue with their ears getting clogged up and also their lymph glands by their ears getting puffy in the morning? I wear ear plugs because of the noise of the machine but in the morning a lot of the times my ears are clogged up and my lymph glands are puffy by my ears also and i'm trying to figure out whats causing this....the glands usually go down after an hour or so after waking and the ears usually do clear...Appreciate any help in figuring this out ...thanks

Re: Issue with ears and lymph glands
Are you using heated humidity? Some people find it better to use the humdifier in "pass over" mode. You would have your distilled water in the humdifier but not turn on any heat. This will give you unheated humidity as the air passes ove the water but no heat. For some people, and in certain climate conditions, this prevents nasal congestion and possibly, ear congestion.
It may be worth a try for you.

That's an interesting question, and I look forward to reading the responses. On the same topic, I'm wondering if wearing earplugs in any way affects normal pressures in the ear? Have you tried to sleep with white noise instead of the earplugs to see if the same thing happens? And if there's any chance it's the salivary gland instead of lymph nodes that are enlarged? Hope you get some answers instead of just more questions.

I use a very low setting ( 1-2 ) on humidity if I use it at all...and I always use distilled water in the chamber.....I do find that my sinuses tend to get a bit clogged also.....I tried the white noise but I haven't been getting very much sleep lately so i'm extra sensitive to any sound...but I did try without the plugs and the same thing seemed to happen
