Hubby and I drove to Boca today...all the way back to Jax, we had a tailgater...I mean it was tailgating us CLOSE!
Then, when we got home, it followed us right into our place.....
Can anyone spell mid-life crisis? My new toy....

Thanks, we plan on it.
The Naval Air Station here in Jacksonville offer the safety classes also...we have been riding scooters for a year now, but at 150cc they don't have enough power / speed for the kind of riding we want to do....they tend to top out at about 50-55 (wide open) and that just causes angry drivers behind you...which in a bike is not a good thing....we stay on surface roads, but still....
As soon as hubby can get his bike, we'll be cruising. HeTHOUGHT he had bought a 500cc Vulcan on ebay a week ago, but can't get the seller to respond. It was located in Port St. Lucie, about 200 miles or so from the house, and we passed it twice today going to get my bike. We had hoped to make it a double trip. He's notifying eBay that the transaction needst to be canceled, and he's going to start looking again tomorrow.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting: "Wow what a ride!"

I love to see people doing the things they really enjoy in life rather than only what is practical (whatever that means). Haven't broken out of that practical mode much myself, but can appreciate when others do.
When Jan mentioned knowing it's you by your long red scarf, I'm sorry but I had to laugh out loud. Got a mental flash of the commercial of a lady on a motorbike with a guy on the back, and she has loooong flowing red armpit hair blowing back in his face. Sure hope what we see when you ride by is really a red scarf!

Enjoy yourselves!

I agree Kathy,
If you can't get a few laughs each day, you are missing out on many of the good things in life. I got my chuckles for today, tomorrow and the next day . . .
and whenever I recall the video of the girl with the long red armpit hair. That is what you might call , deep in 'da pits.

Nice, You are a lucky guy. When I asked my wife if the cute woman waiting on us followed me home can I keep her, I didn't get a happy response!

OMG, my husband just cringes every time he sees that commercial....and I have to laugh my arse off at him when he does, just because of the look on his face.

Weeellllll.....I'd say my husband is the lucky guy... ...oh, and if he wanted to keep the woman who followed us home, that could get him hurt....he's on his way down to the Orlando area as we speak to get his Kawasaki Vulcan 500.....(second choice since the "seller" of the first one is still MIA)

You've got that right, Jan - laughter is good therapy. I read some blogs about that commercial and people finding it so gross they couldn't watch it. I thought, good grief, lighten up. But everyone's sense of humor is different.
Back in the early 80's I chose to express my rebellion against the idealized norms promoted by a Hollywood culture by going natural with my leg hair. My lab supervisor found it gross, and commented that the only thing she wanted for Christmas was for me to shave my legs. So I showed up wearing cute dress ankle boots with my skirt and sporting big red bows tied around the ankles of my clean shaven legs. Wore those bows all day. She thought I had caved, but truth is, those long leg hairs hurt when caught up and pulled in my stockings and socks.
So Deb, enjoy that wind blowing whatever hair you choose. Well, within limits of course - there are laws!
