MyCPAP - Online Charting

Post by phil1001 » Fri Apr 03, 2009 10:08 am

Well finally after many false starts and many months in the making (like a star wars episode) I have launched the online charting for MyCPAP and those with Respironics smart cards.

Before you all rush off and start uploading - it is a Beta version, while I am decoding 99% of Respironics smart cards, not all devices have been attached to the charting front-end. So as more data is uploaded, the greater samples I have to work with.
There is a read me (which you should), some stuff to setup in your profile like your Timezone and then make sure you have the MyCPAP card utility to dump and upload your data.

In the pipeline (no particular order):
reports in pdf and emailed weekly
additional charts
extra models
extra manufacturers such as ResMed, Devilbiss
directly attaching to card reader from the web page and/or allowing the card utillity to directly upload to the website
and of course now that I have decoded the format, it is technically possible to read your card in other card readers and then upload this data, I will need to create a library for some generic USB card readers with custom XP and Vista drivers.
MAC users - sorry - I would love to work on something but having no way of testing makes it a bit hard

Thats about it for now - if you upload and it doesnt chart or there are errors, please send me a helpful email so I can resolve it

Thanks

Phil, I am getting an error when I try to register. The error says "Invalid CAPTCHA code".
I assume you MUST be registered and logged in to use it?

I am using Firefox ver. 3.0.8 with NoScript and Adblock Plus if that helps.

Hi,

My guess would be the scriptblock, Captcha uses scripting and cookies - sadly due to spambots, message board trolls and a whole host of other issues, I have to use things like Captcha - but once you are registered all should be fine.

If anyone else has problems with registering, let me know and I will try and find an alternative

Thanks

What a great idea you have turned into something real. I use a ResMed myself. I would love to see a sample chart or something.

Very nice.

Well, not having a ResMed or Devillbiss (and not rushing out to buy one), all I can suggest is that if someone can collect sample data on their machine and a copy of the CD and memory card fell into an envelope with my address on it, (PM for my address) then I *might* be able to work out the format and add it ?

Now the database and charting framework is in place, its all just extra data - however decoding the raw data can be from easy to impossible - so without seeing it I am not sure.
In the case of Respironics, their format differs for each model, so instead of having a fixed format, which different models use different fields, the actual tables and fields and layout of the data changes -
why ? Dont know...

So far the next venture in to the bad lands of the coding woods, would be ResMed S8 - comments ?

Thanks
Phil

Looks ok to me, there is a small window when backups are done - being a site with worldwide visitors, there is no "safe" offline period - but normally if you experience connection issues, try again 30 minutes later.

Thanks

I registered on the site and d/l'd the reader utility, but have not installed it.

Is there a way to use the EP data already saved on my PC?

If you have data previously saved on your machine and you have encore pro, then you can export your data in xml format, I will be looking at a way of importing this data.
If you have encore viewer - then it leaves all the xml files in a directory and again I will need to find a way to import this history.

All great ideas - just need to prioritize them

Thanks

I was poking around yesterday....can't see to enter any settings.

Summary looks weird (1906?), everything 0's Though it seemed to know that I have a 400M.

Do I want to know what weirdness Respironics has done with the Bipap Auto SV?

Or do you need samples of same?
