Is it correct to feel air coming from the place where the hose from the Swift LT connects to the hose from the machine?

If you mean in the body of the mask where it connects, yes. That is designed "venting" and if you check the documentation you will see how much is approximated for the varying pressures. If you mean at the actual connection from the hose (which should be on there tight and have to "rock" it off to get it loose), then no it shouldn't leak right there.

No, this should not be happening. The only place air should be blowing is from the vent right at the place that the small hose connects to your mask. Can you give a little more info? Have you tightened the small mask hose to the main hose?

Okay, let me try again. I think your answer is no. In the picture...

The hose is actually connected back on top towards the back of the mannequin's head. There should be no air leaking there. Right there on the mask you can see a little circle right in the middle where the tube is running out of the main part of the mask. That's the only place you should feel leaking.

I am familiar with the vent hole and that air should be coming out of it. the air I feel is the actural place where the end of the hose from the mask connects to the long hose on the cpap machine. If there should be no air felt there, how would I fix that? Would duct tape work? I hate to tape it at all because I prefer to disconnect it when putting it on at night, but if this air is hurting my therapy than I would like to do something about it.

I just mentioned this on another thread, but this connector is great for eliminating the struggle with both connecting & disconnecting the main hose from your LT hose.

How significant is this leak? Seems I read somewhere that these machines can compensate for ~20 lpm of leaks, so if it doesn't bug the crud out of you it might be fine...

I wonder how that joint could possibly leak, unless a fitting is broken, one of the hoses has a hole in it, or perhaps the rubber fitting on the end of the machine's hose wasn't installed correctly at the factory.

I have the QD's and swivels on everything too, and recommend them.

Nice part, but geez, more to ship than to buy. That is the one thing I don't like about the LT, no quick disconnect....

You could always stock up on filters and other light weight items so that your shipping would cost would be worthwhile and you could get your "quick connects" and other small, light things you can use in the future.

Check any plumbing dept. Not sure if this particular thing exists there, but as has been said, elbows connecting machine to main hose are found there, so maybe a "straight" connector can be found as well. All you do is a quick twist to join or remove your mask. Measure the exact inside diameter of main hose and the exact outside diameter of your mask hose before shopping.

Another idea might be to ask the forum if anyone would be willing to include this in their larger order and then mail it to you for the $1.50 padded envelope and $1 shipping.

Edit: That would be a plumbing connector with 1/2" diameter on one end and 3/4" on the other---about 2" long. It's worth a try for about 75 cents if you can find one at Lowe's or similar.
Another thought would be to try calling a sleep lab tech or secretary to see if they can sell you one. It just occurred to me that this is what I did to obtain an emergency connector like this, with an additional O2 connector on it for possible emergency hospital stays.
