Nasal Wash powder
Nasal Wash powder
So my chropraticer suggested a nasal wash and boy am I happy so far. Not fun to use but the results are good. So it makes me think, why, or have any of you, put the power in your water tank of a CPAP machine. Would it not do the same thing as the nasal wash, except it would do it all night? It is a salt solutions correct? It should be safe for the hummedifer. Thanks.
Re: Nasal Wash powder
No, the salt and stuff would just get left behind in the tank and make a mess.

Try to find out more information about this, I was told the only thing you ever put into the tank
is distilled water.
is distilled water.

I don't think that salt in the (distilled) water would hurt your humidifier tank because it can be easily rinsed out, but it will do nothing at all for your nasal passages since it will never reach them. When water goes from liquid to gas, the salt does not go with it (this is how distilling works). It might make the humidifier less efficient, though, which is probably not what you want. Re: Nasal Wash powder
Well, I will go a step further here and simply say "No, don't do it." Salt in your heated humidifier will do nothing but permanently leave a corroded sort of appearance on the metal heating plate. Will not disappear with washing. And the salt will do nothing whatever for you from this source, as has been noted above.
