O.T. iPhone 3G

Post by SharkBait » Fri Mar 20, 2009 8:32 am

Just got me one for $99 "refurbished". As I suspected, this thing is brand new. I figured it would be since it hasn't been out long enough to have many sent back in to be refurbed yet.

I thought this phone kind of gimicky when it first came out (and no way I was going to shell out 5 bills, that's 1/2 a cpap setup for crying out loud!), but wow, I'm a convert. It just makes everything so much easier when the developers have all that space and touch screen interface to work with. I'm definitely sold.

But be aware that if you sign up for an iPhone 3G you are committed to the iPhone 3G data option for $30 a month and there's no taking it off. But to me it's worth it to have the web, email, GPS mapping, etc. I have a PC based coupon system in a few grocery stores and I can even bring them up using logmein.com with this thing. Amazing.

SnuggleHose - Got the 8 foot and cut it down to 6, used the rest for mask hoses.
Memory Foam Pillow - Cut my own out of my Tempur-pedic pillow. (works great!)

I got the TOUCH for Christmas. It isn't a phone but I can use wifi anywhere and I truly love the little gizmo! My phone service doesn't have the Iphone or I would probably get it.

My son bought the Touch and absolutely loves it. The iPhone is the Touch with cell phone integrated.

We'll see. I've used touch screen technology with my point of sale marketing product for years and have found it to be very solid. If I can just get this one to last for a couple of years, I'm sure by the time I'm up for renewal it will cost even less...
