I was doing great when I did the sleep study. The sleep people did have me take an ambien to get me to settle down but I felt better the next day. So when I got home I called my doctor and asked for a few ambien to use until I got used to the Albatross setting on my face each night. She sent them and I took one and felt goofy as a reindeer the next day, and the next, and the next. Finally this morning I told my wife I thought I was losing ground because I was still totally sleepy in the morning. She asked if it might be the ambien and I told her it was the same dose I was getting at the sleep lab. It wasn't, it was 10mg and after a call to the lab I found out I was getting 5mgs.
So I called the pharmacy to tell them that they had mislabeled the bottle by putting one tab each night in stead of one half tab. They said they had figured that out but fixed it by taking a magic marker and writing OHP on the lid in purple letters. That meant I was to disregard the other typed directions and take one half pill.
After telling the pharmacist my lawyer would contact his lawyer I feel better and have switched pharmacies.
OHP..That is greek for one half pill
OHP..That is greek for one half pill
I will beat this if I have to go down to 140 pounds with 6% bodyfat. I will beat it!
Re: OHP..That is greek for one half pill
Amazing! Never heard of "OHP" myself. Re Ambien, I found that it made me feel strange if I took it for 3 or more consecutive nights, so I gave it up. Just take melatonin, now, and that seems to help me sleep (and it OTC—that's "over the counter" no script needed :<). Good luck!

Re: OHP..That is greek for one half pill
Was it Ambien CR?

I told my wife (a pharmacist) about this. She said that, because it's a time-release medication, she doesn't think the Ambien CR pills should be split at all because it messes/nullifies the time-release aspect of the meds.
