ResScan on a Mac
ResScan on a Mac
I now have my ResScan 3.7 running on my Mac. I am using bootcamp so there is no extra cost and I had a downloaded XP-Pro with SP2 from a computer class. I transferred two months of data so my file is current. Now I can get rid of Toshiba and have a cleaner desk.

Yea, it'll be nice to work without the programs crashing all of the time.---Oh, wait they don't crash now, and gee I don't get those pesky spyware bugs.
Re: ResScan on a Mac
Sorry to disillusion you, but when you put Windows XP on the boot-camp partition, you are just as vulnerable to spy ware and viruses as any other MS DOS machine!!!! You really must install an antivirus program such as avast.hose head wrote:Yea, it'll be nice to work without the programs crashing all of the time.---Oh, wait they don't crash now, and gee I don't get those pesky spyware bugs.
The Intel Mac is indeed a better ms dos machine than any of the others available, but it would really be nice if any of the cpap software (Encore Pro) would run under CodeWeavers Cross Over program that would allow you to run your windows programs without having a version of windows installed. Then you wouldn't need an anti-virus program.

Re: ResScan on a Mac
vmware fusion works well for me here. There are only two programs from the windows world that I need, one is for the cpap and the other is for the blood glucose monitor, thus the vmware, I have a integrated menu system and I have widows xp using both processors.
As far as viruses only the widows portion is vulnerable to viruses and only when windows is running, which for me is about 30 minutes a week, that is a risk that I can live with.

Just over three years now on cpap, I wish that I could have started sooner.

I will check out fusion software.

Re: ResScan on a Mac
that works well also, I just download whatever I need for windows on the mac side and then drag it over.
