Post by bbeck4x4 » Fri Mar 06, 2009 8:40 am

last night my machine spit out a error c-3 i pulled the power and reset the machine, this morning it is showing a error 79 (ERR_UNDER_PRESSURE_REG) and no sign of the error 3, any ideas?

C-3 SMARTCARD_BAD_CIB_VERSION Card is corrupt and should be reprogrammed

E-79 ERR_UNDER_PRESSURE_REG •Occluded or restricted tube •Defective PCA •Replace Pressure tubing •Replace Main PCA
This what I found from antoher post here. Sounds like you need to get a new machine, or have it repaired.

I also had a error code a few months ago, with the advice to replace the PCA - or the motherboard - the machine was 4 years old and I had it replaced - went through my DME who was able to get the insurance to approve another machine.

I purchased this machine new aug of 06, so it's off to get a new unit, I am thinking about either saving this one for parts for my wife's machine, or getting it repaired, but this may explain the strange leaks that I have been seeing in the most recent reports, I may not have to go to a full face mask after all.

I am probably going to go with the new m-series autos since I already have the card reader.

Do I have to have the new software????

My Pro died last month at 12,712 hours with the lock motor error message. Like you I really question how smart it is to put money into an old CPAP machine. I never used the data card feature and found complete PLUS version (no data card feature) listed on Ebay for $125 with a total of 2.6 hours of run time so I am using it now.

for me it turned out that this time it was better to go with my insurance to get the replacement.

I am strangely having remorse about the old unit though , we ( the machine and I ) have been through a whole lot in the last three years.

knowing what I do, thanks 100% to this site, I walked into the DME and told them that I needed the remstar pro with the aflex and the HH, I asked what the price was going to be, got the billing codes, a quick call to my wife who does medical billing to verify what our cost was going to be after our discounts, and no further questions asked, they grabbed a new box off of the shelf, opened it in front of me, asked me what settings that I had been using and in less than 20 minutes I waked out with a new machine, with the provider quick setup guide, a good DME IMHO.

I have been having a bit of trouble the last few weeks with not sleeping well, (large leaks) which had brought me back here to read up again, so I am really interested in seeing how the aflex will work for me.

Hello,

I have a BIPAP AUTO BI FLEX PR. I need a motherboard replacement. I am willing to buy it since it is out of warranty. Does anyone know how/where from I can buy one?
