I believe "c-flex" is a trademark of Respironics and if your prescription says that, you'll have to get a Respironics machine. I'd recommend the "Pro" model, at least, because it records full data. You asked for the "best", and if you mean "top of the line" that would be the Auto w/c-flex. (There is an Auto with A-flex, but we're assuming your 'script specifies c-flex.) Go for the A if you can get it, and money is no object.

The Resmed equivalent of c-flex is "BreatheEasy" or something like that. I don't know much about Resmed machines.

Get the Respironics "M" series Auto CPAP with AFLEX....it'll also run in CFLEX mode (the mode I prefer).....

Purchase the Viewer software and card reader to go with it.....and you have a great foundation to build on.

Don't take less. After you've learned a bunch more about sleep problems, you'll be really glad you have the AFLEX machine.

Actually the ResMed Elite S8 has C/flex so I assume that the S8 Elite II does as well. Right now I use the M-Series auto with A/flex and it is so much easier for me to breathe.

LinkC is correct. C-Flex is a trademark of Respironics. As such, it is only available on Respironics machines. The equivalent feature on ResMed machines is EPR. You may want to have your prescription written for "C-Flex or EPR" if you want to have a choice between Respironics and ResMed machines.

I've only used a Respironics machine (M-Series Auto w/ A-Flex), so I can't compare C-Flex to EPR. As far as A-Flex vs. C-Flex, I prefer the A-Flex. You can only use A-Flex in Auto mode.

I have the Respironics Auto CPAP with A -flex and love how easy it is to use and all the features , This is also a quite machine, I did place small paper dots over the blue lights and all I see is the very outer edge ot each light. I also Highly recommend the humidifier. I can change from straight CPAP to APAP also I like the A-flex even better than the C-flex Good luck with whatever you pick.

Yep. That's the point I was trying to make. You said it better, tho. Thanks.
