My husband is using a Resmed autoset spirit with a setting of 11 and is doing very well on it. I would like to have a back-up machine for him for two reasons, (1) in case anything happens to this cpap and (2) he would like one as he travels in a travel trailer a lot for work and would like to just keep one in the trailer and one at home. Now the question , I can get my hands on a Resmed VPAP III for a very good price and only 80 hours. Can he use this for his cpap. Can this be set to 11 just like the other cpap. Do you know if I can get the information off this machine like I can on the autoset spirit.
Thanks for your help and any information that you have on this Resmed VPAP III

1) YES - Vpap III can run in cpap mode
2) It can run in bilevel mode ( I can translate his cpap settings to the vpap III - just ask)
3) You can access data off the VPAP III if you have the rescan software (+ a null modem cable - we can help you get one of them from Tandy or elsewhere)
I have used 3 models of the VPAP III & like it but, my wife was never completely happy with the noise from it. - it never really bothered me other than feeling it was upsetting her
Good luck (go for it)
