doctors and a cure for snoring

Post by Arthur Ole Lancaster » Sun Aug 14, 2005 11:14 pm

I first had trouble with snoring about 1990. My wife started to worry about me ,it not so much that I snored badly but it was the stopping breathing that concerned her, she persuaded me to see a throat and nose man and he sent me to hospital for a sleep test, this consisted in me staying overnight in the local hospital. The test was Wait for it !! sleeping with a pulse monitor attached to my ear .If you have ever spent the night with a clothes peg attached to your ear you will have an idea what it was like .Anyway the upshot was he called me back and said there were only three thing he could recomend .They were 1.a tennis ball sewn in my pyjama jacket.2 a soft palate operation.3 a tracheostmy.needless to say I was out of there tootsweet.I can write more about this but I will save it till some other time I would be interested to hear comments about ,this
