resscan download probs

Post by Brian2 » Fri Jan 23, 2009 3:05 am

Hi,
I have a problem downloading data. I have just tried to download for the last year and for some reason half of june and most of July 2008 is missing. Everything elase seems to have downloaded perfectly. I have a backup data card so tried again with the same results. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Brian

In order to help we need more info - otherwise we have to guess what you have done & how

Tell us what you did - what way you did the download (am guessing it was from a data card & thus also guessing you have a data card reader)

More info then more help

Hi DSM.
I have the ResScan card reader and of course the data card. I have used them for the last year and for the first 6 months or so downloaded daily, then weekly without any problems. About 6 months ago I stopped monitoring and downloading as things were going so well. I have an annual check up today so thought I would down load the last year and that is when I noticed the missing data for June and July. I am pretty sure that the "gap" in data stated after the last down load: I downloaded on the 10th of June and data was complete up to that date. I didn't do anything different from what i have dome numerous times before.

The ResScan card has enough capacity to hold the most recent 180 days worth of summary data captured by the S8 (plus detailed data for the most recent 5 days), which means that today you would have summary data going back to late July 2008 only.... which seems to be precisely what you found!

Your S8 flow generator actually holds the most recent 360 days worth of summary data, but you need the optional cable that connects an S8 directly to a PC (via a USB port) to be able to download those extra days with ResScan.

Cheers,

Bill

Hi Bill, I have just checked and that is what I had missed. Thanks for the info. BTW I have just had my first annual check up at the "sleep clinic". I was in and out in 3 minutes. The sleep nurse asked me if I had any problems. i said no. I asked if she was going to look at the data, she said no because they didn't have the equipment and then she made an appointment for next january and that was that. Good old British national health Service.
