Q about insurance

Post by ChipChris » Mon Jan 19, 2009 11:11 am

I have BC/BS insurance, they only pay 50% of my CPAP supplies.

If I were to buy online (at a HUGE savings) how do I submit that to my insurance?

I'm thinking of asking my Doc for a data capable machine. I have a used RemStar Pro but my new one (less than 2 mos) is a Remstar Plus. I dont see having problems with a script, I just dont know how the insurance stuff works.
Thanks.

That is something that you will have to hash out with your INS company, every plan is different, you need to find out from them what the rules and limits are, preferrable in writing, but we know they won't want to do that.

Even if you have to purchase out of pocket, it can be cheaper and less of a hassle to buy online from a good dealer like https://www.cpap.com/. Sometimes savings are more than Dollars and Cents, less hassle is a good thing. Jim

Thanks, Jim. I hate calling them, but I figured thats what Id have to do.

You sure do have a point about the savings. Espacially with the masks!
