Shift LT pillow question

Post by Robadob » Sat Jan 17, 2009 6:09 pm

How often do you replace your Shift LT pillows?

My leak rate has been a little higher than usual and I'm wondering if it's because the pillow is wearing out.

Thanks

Well how old is it? I'd first suggest that you be sure you are washing your face every night and the pillow every day. I also have found that the straps do stretch over the months of use, so need to be incrementally tightened (though still not tight!). And then, as always, do the little nudges to the bottom of the pillow and squeezing the pillows to fine-tune its placement. I did replace mine after 4 months, but saved it, just in case I was not checking everything thoroughly.

Thanks, I'll try those things.

I'm using the pillow I got when I started at the end of October.

I used to get a leak rate of 0.0 consistently. I had a cold (my leak rate increased greatly). Now I can't get it under 0.6 and I hear different leak noises. Not as wooshing, but very fine air leaks so I was wondering if it's a worn out pillow. I don't know how long they are supposed to last.
