suggested 'delivery' system for Pursleep aromas....

Post by abinder » Tue Jan 13, 2009 6:21 pm

I recently purchased a Air Wick refill that supposedly fits all Air Wick Warmers. There's a round wick coming out of the top of the bottle that has the scent in it. I placed this in front of the air intake of my M-Series CPAP machine and the scent was definitely being drawn through the CPAP machine up to my Swift LT mask. It even comes with a cap that screws on so you can cover the wick up when you aren't using it.

Pursleep has excellent scents and if the scents were in something like this, it seems like it would be an excellant way for CPAP users to use the product with little interaction. Each scent would definitely have to come in it's own 'bottle with wick' Personally, I loved the samples of Pursleep that I received.

Just a thought.

You can replicate this by purchasing an Aromatherapy Scent Ball, and put the scent on the included paper pads. I've done this for my Boyfriend, who needed some sleep assistance. He sleeps now with PurSleep, though without a cpap machine.

This is the one I bought:

Though not from this vendor. I just bought it from my local natural foods store.

I can't find refill paper pads, though. Harumph.....

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

I like the Pursleep scents, too. but I can't figure out how to use it with the Whisper Cap. Do you think this type of setup could be set close enough to the intake on the Whisper Cap (upper left corner of the cube)?

If you could back your machine up to an outlet - maybe use a power strip? - and then plug in a scent ball, I'll bet you'll get more PurSleep than you even WANT. BF made me tone it down after the first night. And the plug was clear across the room from his bed.

LOL,
B.

Try using a Q-tip dipped in your scent then stick it into that tiny whisper hole.
Dab a bit on your mask for a stronger scent.

I just use the refill bottle with the wick to deliver the scent to the CPAP machine. I don't have the Air Wick Warmer. I believe what you're talking about you have to plug it into the wall. With the Air Wick refill bottle with the wick, I just have the wick sticking up right by the air intake of the CPAP machine. (only cost about $4.99)
