Thanks Jules -- didn't think to do a google search.

I have an inquiry about where to find it and just directed them to cpap.com but if they can get it cheaper that would be great.

we have seen the question in chat often enough to know where it is cheaper

you want the combo USB package off that other site but again, ask cpap.com to price match before you buy elsewhere

What is my least expensive way of being able to be in control of my sleep data? It seems like $199 is the standard bundled price. But one poster paid $139 and someone else paid $59. What am I not getting about the differences? Sorry for being a bit dense!
The difference is profit or more profit.
Hard to tell anything without the links you are referring to. Post the links here and we will help you sort it out.

Debjax - I would love to see the links for what Pro is selling for.

Do you have them in hand to know that it was the bundled package of Viewer and card reader?

Thanks.
Direct Home Medical, and it was a bundled set. I purchaed the bundle with the pcmcia reader, since I have way too many parts with cables as it is....but they have the USB bundle also. I've been using it for a bit over a week now.

So would I, I can't find Pro. More to the point, what IS the difference between Viewer (I have that) and Pro?

I have both Viewer and Pro. Pro is meant for a DME or a doctor's office with many patients. It allows you to do things that I don't care about like track the masks your patients are using. I find Viewer to be easier to use because I don't have to deal with the stuff I don't care about. I don't have to go through endless menus to get to the place I want to be. The only thing I use Pro for these days is to erase our cards. I don't think that you can find Pro for sale to individuals anymore.

There is Encore Pro analyzer, written by one of our forum members if I remember correctly. So if you want to go into more detail than Viewer or Pro gives, that might be a reason to try to find a copy of Pro....

Don't want to erase the card, but would like more detail than Viewer is giving....

Viewer and Pro give the same information, so Encore Pro Analyzer might be what you're looking for. I don't remember who wrote the software, but a search of the forum will probably give that up...or someone who knows may chime in soon.

What information are you looking for that you aren't seeing now?

I don't have Viewer and don't know it's intricacies but I have heard it does not create a database on your drive required to use programs like "Encore Pro Analyzer" (EPA). The are prob many other differences but that is the most critical, to me. From what I have read on this forum, the Viewer information displayed is the same ol', it's just not saved in a database and simply reads what is on the card.

HTH,

Thanks everyone for the help on software for my M-series Auto machine. I now have the card reader and software. Now all I have to do is spend time trying to figure what the software shows.

Is it a good idea to erase the card everytime that you use it? or is okay to just leave the card alone and left the software make space on the card as it's needed?

Does the software automatically keep a history of the records?

Thanks.

Allen

encore pro has a database so the history of the downloads is kept - I personally never erase my cards - the card will keep the 7 enhanced data sessions and it will keep many months worth of compliance data (I get hours used and AHI for that - print out that page with many days of AHI for my sleep doc)

if you get EPA then you can get graphs to show trends from day to day and more as EPA will pull that information out of the SQL database

Hmmmmmm.......I tried to get EPA yesterday but when I logged onto the web site it stated that an email was supposed to be sent to me telling me where to get EPA. Unfortunately, I never received an email.

What is the correct link to get EPA?

Thanks.
