I obtained an Everest earlier this month. I have used it 3 nights, the first for a trial and the other 2 for expected power outages. Last night was the 3rd night and although we weren't out, part of this community I live in did lose power last night.
I tried 3 different masks last night - Soyala FF, Liberty, and Somnoplus. These are all masks I have many nights with. I get a whistle sound with each of these that I don't get when I use my Remstar tanks. I also find the overall exhaust noise to be louder again that with my tank. I have used the tank both with and without cflex so I am aware of noise differences of that but this is SO much louder than the tank.
With my "tanks" and any of these masks I can hear everything going on around the house; with the Everest I couldn't hear anything else.
One thing I haven't done yet it is check the pressure with a manometer to see it is right and I need to do that soon.
Anyone have any experience with this machine?

I don't find mine to be any louder, but I do notice that it is a slightly higher pitch. It's not enough to bother myself or my husband. I have also used mine with several masks and have not noticed a big difference in sound. Could be I got lucky and just got one that was quieter, or could be that you were unlucky and got a noisy one.

Edited to say; I keep my machine on the floor next to my bed.

I love having the Everest for its battery operation. It's a cool machine. But "quiet", it's not. Very loud little critter, or at least mine is.

Re: Everest CPAP - how noisy do you find it?
I ordered the Everest 2 and found it to be surprisingly loud. I have tinnitus and hyperacusis so I figured my compliance would be low since the hissing noises are painful to me and I can't shut them out with earplugs since the sound is basically being blown up my nose.
Funny thing is, I ordered the Everest 2 because my power went out during the recent east coast ice storm and I thought it would be better to have the battery back up. However, the E2 crapped out after one night of use and I sent it back after the manufacturer told me it must be defective.
So I ordered the IntelliPap CPAP, which was my original choice and also supposed to be quieter. I haven't got it yet but it will be interesting to see how much quieter it actually is. This is my first foray into the world of CPAP so maybe it's good to have compared two products.
