Anxiety issues upon starting CPAP treatment?

Anyone out there start anxiety issues upon starting CPAP treatment?

Other than the panic at suffocating with a tight mask on my face while waking suddenly in the night, no anxiety whatsoever.. you?

My anxiety started on the way to the sleep study. Then I got to see all the wonderful wires I would be hook up to. Fortunately I was able to go to sleep ( only because I was to anxious to sleep the night before) only to be woken up the tech and have foreign object strapped to my head. The first attempt was a nasal mask. The tech should of told me not to open my mouth. We all know what that is like. So off to the full face. Incredible I was able to sleep and felt pretty good in the AM.

After about 2 months on CPAP treatment I have been through 4 masks but have not missed a day. I sleep better, I feel better in the morning and I do not have incredible headaches do a O2 sat of 65. I now cant imagine not sleeping without this foreign body strapped to my face. A bit of advice from a novice do not stop trying and get the correct mask for you.
