Weird dreams are back

Post by twocents » Tue Dec 09, 2008 2:15 pm

When I went for the titration over a month ago, I was told when the results came in they would have liked to see a higher REM number, it was actually a little lower. AS it was, the titration gave me one of the few flying dreams I've ever had.
For a while, I could hardly recollect the dreams I had. Now, the scary dreams are back. I still am sleeping well, but these rotten dreams are back.
What are dream experiences here...

To be honest, my dreams haven't quite come back yet.

But I did have two sleep issues I hadn't seen in a while come partly back. I used to toss and turn sometimes a lot. That's started happening again. I also have issue with falling asleep. In fact a long time ago, I blamed my sleep related problems to a lack a sleep and suspected I has phase delayed sleep syndrome or delayed phase sleep syndrome or whatever its called. That seems to be reasserting itself again actually.

john_dozer, i have the same issues - my sleep schedule is pretty much a wreck and it takes a LOT of effort for me to stay on track. If i let it, my sleep schedule easily shifts to 3-5 am bedtime to noon-2pm wake up time. Doesn't really work in this 9-5 society.

I notice that happens more easily when my thearpy isn't going well - and by that I mean recently I've been having issues with GERD (which are probably causing nighttime arousals, thus wrecking my sleep). Congestion also makes my therapy less-than-effective (I am still trying to find the perfect FFM). When I'm not getting good sleep, the insomnia (or DSPS?) also gets MUCH worse. There was a journal article I found a while ago, which said that the best 'treatment' for DSPS was the timed administratio of melatonin - that seemed to get the best results. I also find I sleep better and earlier if I do some exercise during the day.

I've actually been having a lot of vivid dreams too. And lots of not-so-nice ones, where I am always the guilty party or i am doing something wrong. Very annoying!!

I don't remember them all, but I do remember this one: mainly because (and this sounds funny) I was there before. Same strange sand dunes, water, etc. There was a road, but it was nothing but sand with tracks in it.
All I remember is a co-worker from quite a few years back driving a bus with several passengers. I was one, unfortunately. She was driving along this sand road which consisted of tracks in the sand. It went down a small hill and made a sharp right turn onto the top of this sand hill dune where the tracks continued of into the distance. I could tell she was taking the turn too fast and, sure enuf, the ass end of the bus swung off the road and the whole shebang rolled backwards into one of the water puddles at the bottom. I remember pulling myself out of a window and then trying to make up my mind whether or not to go back in after the others (the bus wasn't submerged so there was no real danger of drowning). That was enuf.. woke up.
