Encore Viewer Compatability Problems

Post by garyvd » Sat Dec 06, 2008 11:44 am

Hello
I ordered a Respironics smart card reader and software. I installed the viewer software (ver. 1.0) as directed and when I tried to install the smartcard software It failed because it required version 1.3 of Encore Pro, not the encore viewer software 1.0. I assumed since they were bundled together that I had everything I needed. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Did I order the wrong thing?

Thanks a lot

I understand the driver is on the CD for viewer - search there for it - if not then the driver is at 2factors.com about half way down this page

The driver for the reader is on the Encoreviewer disc and automatically installed when I installed my software. You may have to go to device manager to uninstall the driver you installed and then reinstall EncoreViewer.

Yes. The CD for the card reader is completely unnecessary. Hard to believe they're still sending it out with the bundled package due to the continuing confusion we've had with this. Just install the CD for the software, and you will be fine.

Give a dog a bone. What OS are you using? IF it's "Vista 64 bit" the driver isn't supported, the driver will work with "Vista 32 Bit computers. Jim
