Difference between Activa and Ultra Mirage II Nasal Mask
Difference between Activa and Ultra Mirage II Nasal Mask
Is there any major difference between the Activa and Ultra Mirage II Nasal mask? I should really use a FF mask because I am a mouth sleeper but I can never get any of them to seal properly so I used the Activa and a chinstrap. I have to be honest, I really don't like using a chinstrap because its uncomfortable.

Of course there are differences, even if there are similarities (I've used both). I found the Activa to be extremely comfortable, but just as completely ineffective - it did feel too large, but the next size down would have been too small in some aspect, so I didn't really use it for any length of time. I now do use the UM FF, and while it requires a little fiddling to get it to seal, both with the upper nose part and the side straps, it works very well most of the time (95%). It's not always as comfortable, and will leave marks at times, but it does the job and is definitely tolerable, so it's what I use. Chin straps are a poor third (after taping, which I did previously with a Comfort Select nasal mask, and which would be my backup if the need should arise, but luckily it hasn't as yet).

Can someone please DELETE the previous (my) post for me as I posted as a guest (not meaning to) and it won't let me delete the note, which is all wrong of course as I didn't realize the poster was asking about nasal masks until it was too late!
