thanks to everyone who replied to my first post, especially GumbyCT, who suggested the headrest!

the medical supplier i'm using doesn't have that one... but they have one that's pretty similar... the breeze sleepgear

does anyone else on here use that one, and more importantly, do you like it?

i'm actually excited to try it out tonight!

The machine you list doesn't support data, and it's not made to treat Central Sleep apnea. Jim

I have used the Breeze. It's in my top 3. With all the pillows style masks I've used, I found an extra strap helped to stabilize them and made a difference in my ability to flip around in the bed without causing them to shift and leak. Good luck with your new mask.

yyyyyyyyeah that has nothing to do with this post.

look, all i know at this point is that with the pressure at 8, the CPAP is enough to trigger me to breathe. hell, it worked during the CPAP trial test...

i got the names of a couple of neurologists today, so i'm going to set up a consult, and from there, probably get a referral to a pulmonologist.

and what do you mean by "doesn't support data"? it has a data card.....

Jim means well, and means your machine only collects data about how many hours you've slept, and does not, and never will, collect data about your breathing.

However, the most important thing is that it works for you. Data collecting machines are a boon - very necessary when trouble shooting - but if your doing well , that can wait.

As for the Breeze:
That was the first mask that worked for me. You can do lots and lots of adjusting on it:
Take a look here, viewtopic.php?p=33019#33019 especially at WillSucceed's detailed instructions.

I alternated the Breeze and the Headrest for almost 2 years. The Breeze always sat on my upper lip in a way the Headrest never did. Eventually I gave up my Breeze for the deconstructed Headrest (aka Aura). Females have different shaped heads - a fact well know to artists, but ignored by headgear makers - and the Headrest's decontsructibility makes a decontstructed Headrest popular among women. It was Rested Gal who taught us how to do it....
