Low Oxygen symptons

Post by Crest » Tue Nov 18, 2008 5:43 pm

Can anyone out there tell me the symptoms of low oxygen levels. My study last february said that my Oxygen saturation level was at 93 BUT, my "lowest Desaturation" was at (all stages) 86%.

Can anyone respond please?

I'm tired and light headed parts of the day.

When my 02 levels dropped to 50 all I wanted to do was go to sleep. I had no energy, no motivation, and ended up in the hospital for 8 days on oxygen for 7. 86 for me is GOOD LOL!

I think all OSA symptoms apply to low 02 levels.

Oh, maybe I should first ask: Are you worried about your daytime 02 or your nighttime 02?

Sounds like you need to get your hands on pulse-ox Crest. Bug your doc!!

My doc gets excited when mine dropped off below 90%. He put me on an 2 ltr oxygen blead in on my cpap for a year. I bought a Pulse/Oximeter and check mine on a regular time frame. According to him even is you have no symptons it puts a strain on the heart because it beats faster trying to compensate. From what I gathered the physical symptons don't really show up until it gets down to around 60 or 70%.
