Try pressing the Right and Down button and hold for 3-4 seconds. I'm not sure of the therapy settings on the Compact but be careful or better yet write down what appears on each screen before making any changes or going to the next screen so that if you do accidentally or intentionally make a therapy change you will know what to set it back to if you need to.

After that initial button press and hold Clinical Menu Welcome should pop up. Press the Down button and Clinicians Menu Enter should appear. Press the Left button to Enter, from then on it is it Left to Enter, Right to Exit, Up to return to the previous screen and Down to proceed to the next screen.

Just keep in mind those alarms are going off for a reason. If they are for mask leaks or mouth leaks, whatever, do try to rectify them!! The alarms are indicating that you are receiving less than necessary and satisfactory therapy. Don't just ignore what they are trying to tell you.

It alarms on leaks?

I've gotten up and left the mask for a few minutes running and there's no alarm.

Is there a setting that prevents alarms?

I didn't think that the ResMed S8 Compact had any alarms... And a check of mine, through the entire Clinician's menu, didn't show me any alarm setting. Am I missing something?

Karen,

Bigrob, no problem. All of the ResMed S8's have the same basic design so it can be hard to tell them apart. I just wondered if I'd missed something!

BTW, capital letters all of the time are considered shouting in the Internet world of communication. How about setting that caps lock key to off when posting? Image It will be appreciated.

Now, did you ever figure out how to fix those alarms so that they don't awaken you? As someone said, the alarms ARE there for a reason. Please let us know how it is working because it can help others.

Best wishes, and sleep well.
