Great minds think alike on the avatar... That is exactly how I look and feel in the mornings with my cup of coffee..
Newbie to sleep apnea. Anxiety and panic attacks. If I can do it, you can too! It's not as bad as you think.. :)

The hormone thing is the reason that my endocrinologist suggested a sleep study -- I had been trying really hard to lose weight (lots of exercise and a restricted calorie diet) and had not lost a thing. I've been on CPAP for three months now and I can really tell a difference in my appetite. I used to feel hungry all the time, apparently because I had too much grehlin and not enough leptin. I really didn't know what feeling full was like...I thought it was a distended stomach. Now I'm realizing that my brain signals fullness and learning to stop eating when I feel it. I haven't lost any weight yet, but I have lost fat. I guess I'll attribute that to adding muscle through strength training....

So Corgi, tell me more when we go out to dinner Thursday night and make pigs of ourselves.

My latest crutch is mega doses of Vitamin B-12 and B-6 in timed release form. They seem to be taking the edge off my hunger. Of course, nothing would stop me from making that waffle last night... With peanut butter, apricot jam AND hot maple syrup.

LOL,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

From article:
Research shows that people who don't get enough z's eat food that is higher in calories and saturated fat
Funny. Just yesterday I was telling the guy in line next to me at McDonalds that very thing!
