My reason I'm stayin' hosed

Post by betsy946 » Thu Oct 30, 2008 8:58 pm

Hello everyone - I'm writing mainly for the new users who don't yet see the benefit of the machine - well, I went to the doc today (using about 2 months) and my blood pressure was way down - 10 points on the top and 20 points on the bottom - I just about fell over when I heard the numbers because I drank a large iced tea today (I'm a southern girl and I'm a preschool teacher of second language children...also, I really believe my face looks smoother (less wrinkles ) Thanks for all the help and best wishes to everyone.

That is excellent Betsy, way to go! My doctor told me today with this machine I am yet to receive plus weight loss he thinks I will be a whole new woman! Since I have a multitude of problems he feels that alot of them are related to sleep apnea and may resolve with therapy.. I hope he's right!

That's great! MY BP was 114/70 the last couple times I had it checked. I have always run 120/80 and higher, so that was a nice pressure for me!

Congratulations on such progress in such a short time. My BP is down also. While I still deal with other health issues, treating my sleep apnea has to rank as the best thing I ever did to help myself. Water aerobics is close behind. But had it not been for cpap treatment, the water exercise wasn't happening.

I'm a newbie to this board, but have been a hose-head for almost 4 years, and I have to say, it's the best thing I ever let my wife talk me into. Honestly, if it weren't for her insistence, I'd have probably had a heart attack or a stroke by now.

for those of you who don't like the machine, give it some time. When you have that first great night of sleep, you'll wonder how you got along without it.

My BP is consistently 112/72-ish. I have lost about 60 pounds, just by having enough energy to do things, and being diagnosed with Type II Diabetes (ick). the doc tells me that a good night's rest is the single most important thing that you can do to improve your glucose levels, so WEAR THAT MASK!

Welcome to you as well Lord.. Us wives can be pretty persistent huh?? lol I am in the process of getting my machine now and am new to this. But, I was so impressed of how good I felt the morning after my titration I am making hubby have a sleep study as well! I have watched him sleep and many, many nights he will wake up choking and not breathing. He said no, I don't need to go.... Your more important.. I said WHAT! Are you kidding me! You want me to take care of myself then you too will take care of yourself.. This is one that I am going to win! And so his doctor has sent over an order to the sleep study center yesterday and all we are waiting on is a phone call..

My BP is down some as well after 2.5 weeks of use. It wasn't high but it had moved into the high normal range sometime in the last 6 months. My glucose was also in the high normal range so I hope that will have come down as well. I know my doc will be pleased.
