I had this happen one time with a PB 420G and it was ruined. After that I made a box with two slots in it and ran an adjustable strap over the top and cinch it down tight before I go to bed. Works great. It may also be possible to use velcro on the bottom of the cpap to anchor it to a suface.

If it was a Resmed, it would be because it wanted to sit on the bedroom floor so it could hold the door open. Jim
Jim why do you hate the ResMed so much?? Just curious as I have seen alot of you dislike it and that is the one I am planning to use. Is there something wrong with them??
I rate the machines by software and the treatment, they provide: Remstar 1, PB 2 and Resmed 3, there are other player in the soup, but time will tell where they will fall in. I feel that resmed, hasn't kept up with R & D, except maybe for their latest offering, and it is too young to have a track record. I believe it Remstar, stops shooting theirselves in both feet, they could have the better beast, all brands can treat most people, it's just air. Jim

Michelle,

I also have a ResMed S* Elite with EPR and I like it. The only problelm with ResMed is that their software doesn't detect centrals. Otherwise, it is good. Everyone has different opinions and some of these guys just like to make funny jokes. Right, Jim?

To everyone who has posted regarding the sandman I want to say thank you for all the different ideas of how to keep the generator secured on the table or on adjusting the hose. I decided to leave it on the carpet by my bed (no headboard) so that it couldn't fall again. I wasn't thinking it could get stepped on or knocked over and have a similar issue again. I guess that's why more brains work better than one. I will put it on a low shelf for now, but may invest in a stand alone humidifier to use with it. Then I won't have to be concerned about this happening again.

Paul, were you the same guy that talked about insects getting into the hose a while back? I have spider phobia and my bedroom window is their location for their nightly family reunions. I started covering my mask and hose ends after that previous post. Now you bring up about insects getting into the hose if the generator is on the floor. That didn't occur to me until I just read your post. You are freaking me out! You are starting to have me wondering if you are working for some anti-cpaper organization. Are you? or are you just drinking the same funny juice some of the guys on here drink? Please kill the insects Pleeese?

Does anyone know which stand alone humidifier would work with the new Sandman? It would probably be less expensive to purchase a separate humidifier than to lose the cost of the Sandman. Thanks for any info.

Anne

Anne, I am wondering if it would be best to simply get that fine mosquito netting that one sees draped over beds in some parts of the world... as long as the xPAP machine is also under that netting we should be safe.

Been there, done that, but they made us tie the netting up, in the daytime. Nothing like being waken up a 3 A.M. with a Scorpion, crawling up your leg and having to let him for 10 minutes, until he crawled off your chest. I wouldn't worry about creepy crawlers getting into the air circuit, they would have to go through the filters, now the hose mask end is a problem.
