Can't figure out what happened but after writing out a very lengthy post yesterday, only the very beginning got posted after I hit submit. I'll try again. Am using Breathe mask that slips and slides around my head all night. I have adjusted every part and still the same issue. Further there is leakage from the nasal pillows even though I have tried different sizes. And then there is the noise that this "very quiet" mask makes. Otherwise all is well Last mask which fit over my face into my nose was great except that the straps left marks that took at least 2 hours to fade. That one, I could hook under my ponytail and it stayed in place all night. But it was the marks, and the Darth Vader romantic look that I was trying to get away from when I purchased the Breeze. Am I alone with all of this annoyance? Next issue...we are flying from SFO to Thailand. Has anyone used their cpaps in flight? What equipment do I need? It is a long, long, flight and I really don't want to snore, as only those with apnea can, with so many witnesses. That's the vanity part; then there is the health aspect. I don't want to die on my way either--what with air pressure and other in-flight issues and not being able to breathe well even on the ground. Surely I am not the first person to have to deal with this. So...hopefully this will post in full and you will all be willing to share your experiences and gathered wisdom. Thanks for your welcoming words that responded to my first mini-post.

One thing that may help with your mask issues is a new type of headgear that has been introduced my one of our members called the Pap-Cap. This has solved my problems with mask and headgear slipping. It is very comfortable and for me leaves no strap marks on my face. His web site is http://www.pur-sleep.com. Check it out and see what you think.
Good luck,
Good luck,

Also check with padacheek... at http://www.padacheek.com... she's good at padding straps and other things that may hurt or leave marks.

Re: CPAP S.O.S.
I would reiterate the suggestions of the PapCap and padacheek products for mask headgear, and with the strap marks....
You may want to keep looking for another mask. The headrest is somewhat similar to the breeze mask and appears to have a more robust headgear -- though I have to admit, the rubber-band feel takes some getting used to.
Also, check out the Lab Rat posts for the Breeze as well as the Headrest as you may be able to use some of those ideas to fashion your own modified headgear. Rested Gal has "decapitated" her headrest and uses the legs of panty hose tights as straps -- many great ideas from the Lab Rats.
As for travel, I believe you will need some sort of power source (12V) that will plug into your machine. I may be wrong, but I don't believe the aircraft will have a power source. Check at cpap.com for power-packs that are compatible with your machine.
Also, there are others here that have dealt with the problem, so you might want to search the forum for airline travel power and see what you find.....
Hope this helps a bit
Good luck
cheers

Wars arise from a failure to understand one another's humanness. Instead of summit meetings, why not have families meet for a picnic and get to know each other while the children play together?
