Hi!
I am brand new to your group, so hopefully my newb questions won't bother you all
Anyhoo! I am wondering just how I would even know if I am sleeping with my mouth open. It is always closed when I wake up, and my husband says he never hears me snore. If I am losing pressure because my mouth opens while I sleep, how do I know?
Thanks
How can you tell if you sleep with your mouth open
Re: How can you tell if you sleep with your mouth open
That is where a machine that stores data and the software is needed, the software can show pressure leaks caused by mouthbreathing and when they occur. The only sure way not to have damaging mouthbreathing is a FF mask, or taping the mouth 100% air tight. Some people can train their mouths to seal the airway, but without the software you can't be sure, because the problem happens when you are asleep, Jim

Is your throat dry in the morning? I don't use a heated humidifier, just a passover, and I'll wake up with a very dry mouth when I've been mouth breathing. It's not nearly as bad with a full face mask as with just a nasal mask.

Hi, Fairysquisher! Welcome to the forum. I think that was about my first question when I joined. Here's that thread, with a number of good thoughts: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33812&p=287491#p287491
