Blisters?

Post by notes » Sun Oct 05, 2008 10:07 am

Mirage Liberty. Remstar Plus M Series set at 14 w/humidifier at 2.
Finally getting used to it and like the results.
Couple days ago I had a small water blister (I think that's what it was) on the inside of my right cheek.
I popped it with my tongue, and no big deal.
Today I have a blood blister on the inside of my left cheek.
Any chance these blisters are associated with CPAP?
Thanks

That's the first time I've heard of something like that.

My guess is that you bit your cheek in the night. I actually bit the inside of my lip and had a few muscle knots in my upper back/shoulders during my first few nights "on the hose." Think there is probably some inevitable tension at first like clenching teeth or similar.
DeVilbiss IntelliPap Std Plus with Smartflex; Transcend miniCPAP & Everest2 w/humidifier & batt for travel. UltraMirage FFM; PadACheeks; PaPillow. Using straight CPAP at 13.0/passover humidifier. AHI consistently < 1.5. Began CPAP 9/4/08.

I have been getting blood blisters on the inside of my cheeks an on my tongue ever since starting CPAP. At first I thought it was from biting while asleep, but it never happens if I am unable to use my CPAP, as when I have a cold or fall asleep before putting the mask on.
