Clicking noise in mask

Post by joecmurphy » Mon Sep 29, 2008 11:37 am

I am using nasal pillow system and a resmed cpap machine...

the last couple nights, when I inhale deeply through the mask there is this clicking type noise coming from the mask. I think it's some sort of vacuum or leak issue.

any thoughts?

thx

Would you let us know, specifically, what mask you have, so someone witht he same mask can make suggestions? There are dozens of styles and several brands.

Are you having any condensation issues in your hose? I am also using nasal pillows and have had some interesting sounds from the pillows. They have always been associated with "rainout" and have vanished once I empty the hose.

It might be condensation, it has gone away for now. It felt like to me that I was breathing in more air than was in the mask and it was causing pressure. But I am not sure.

Sorry for not posting the equipment, I thought I had a signature with all that info...but i guess not.

Even if it is in your signature it is ALWAYS useful to write it in when asking for help -
1. Because people change masks frequently - it only helps us help you.
2. Sometimes people select a mask that they think is close to the one they have, but it isn't.

When setting up your signature ALWAYS choose the text vesrion and not those icons that are often hard to tell what it is. I know I don't bother to click on icons to find out what kind of stuff someone else has. So then I don't end up helping. The secret to getting more help is to make it easier

If the info needed isn't there, I just move on to the next post.
