ONE QUESTION ABOUT CPAPAUCTION

Post by BASCONERO » Sat Sep 20, 2008 8:28 am

Hello, as the subject : this auction is reserved only for American and Canadian people or also for foreign as me? Is it under direct control of CPAP.COM or not? Thanks.
Cheers

CPAP. auction is like Ebay it is individuals selling, not companys. So you can ask the sellers if they will ship to you international. Good luck

Like ebay there are seller ratings posted. There are no guarantees.

One reason the prices seem low is that you'll be competing with another prospective buyer for the item. The price you see is what the current bid for the item is, not what the final selling price will be. You need to get familiar with the retail price of masks, etc., so that you can get a good deal.

MissDozer, thanks so much for your reply! In the past I have bought several times on EBay and I have never had problems! About prices: I know purchase prices on the Web for CPAP devices and accessories and on CPAPAUCTION these are so low!! But I have somehow doubt!! I note that some sellers buy from a CpapAuction seller and then resells the same goods!! I note this looking their feedback!! Sometimes they had buyed at 100 ( for example ) and resells, when item auction was closed, same item at a finally price of 80 !! I can't understand where is their businness!!

The same kind of buying and selling occurs on eBay. Buyers of lots (meaning a lot of one item) will then re-sell the items at a higher price. This means that the original seller doesn't have to take the trouble to post too many items and keep track of them as well as packaging and shipping individually , The secondary seller earns money for taking all of that trouble. Actually, this isn't too different from any wholesaler selling a large amount to a retailer, it just doesn't have a brick and mortar retail store involved!

Karen, If you refer to my English, I would like to see you write on an Italian Forum!

p.s: I see that you have the typical American mentality: ITALIANI SPAGHETTI & MANDOLINO!

Basconero,

Image Please, please don't think I was trying to criticize your English in any way. Image I admire you for your skills! ACTUALLY: I wish that I did speak Italian! (And, of course, write it.)

Surprisingly enough:

I have a good friend who is half Italian and half Swedish. Her mother and 2 aunts all lived within about 3 blocks, and the three sisters all spoke fluent Italian. Their children were all very close, and still are in adulthood although they are scattered throughout the US. They keep in touch with their Italian family, and visit them rather frequently.

My friend's sister-in-law is a music teacher. She told me after a visit to Italy that there were words that she recognized from her music studies. That is the source of my comment about music terminology.

It is visits to the American family of my friend where EVERY event (and some non-events) was accompanied by rousing renditions of "Eh, Cumpari!". The influences of Julius LaRosa's hit song from 1953 carries on an Italian-American tradition.

Fortunately, they all continue to have some foods beyond spaghetti. In fact, I do not recall ever having had spaghetti--or lasagna--or pizza at their homes in over 15 years of visits. However, I have had some nice AND authentic antipasto (no lettuce) and polenta with LOTS of butter and cheese. Oh, yes, and the caprice salad...I think that is my favorite.

So please excuse my rudeness, as it was very much unintentional.Image I SINCERELY apologize. I am very sorry!

And, I wouldn't try to post on an Italian forum Image unless I could do so in English!

Whose grandparents did not teach her Finnish

I sell on Ebay all kinds of things and ship worldwide. Sometimes I get a box of items for $5.00 and sell each for $20.00 I may start thing low to stir things up but hope they sell way higher. I've bought 2 masks from cpapauction and was very pleased with the service. This is where I'll buy supplies from now on.
P.S. I've been married 3 times to 3 Italians, it's something in the dark eyes

No problem at all, Basconero. I just felt badly that you might have thought I was critical.

Thank you for the lovely apology and the rose.

Karen,
My Grandmother lived with us when I was born. My mom "& her spoke Finnish to each other and I spoke both languages as I was learning to talk. By the time I was 4 or so she moved in with my aunt in the UP. Saddly my mom didn't speak it after that an I didn't have the opportunity to continue. I do remember a few words, some of them x-rated
