Current Version of ResScan?

Post by Herman » Fri Sep 12, 2008 3:50 pm

I have a new Resmed S8 Autoset II. What is the current version of the ResScan software. I've seen 3.5, but is there a 3.7?

Nope, V.3.4 is needed at a minimum for the S8 IIs and v.3.5 is needed for Vista on home PCs. 3.5 is the latest version available.

I have found the number of retailers who sell version 3.5 is very limited. I have Vista so that limits my choice as well. Another somewhat unrelated question, is a leak of 0.24 considered high? I use a mirage vista mask and the setting recommended was for the standard mask,

0,24 isn't *that* bad but you can do much better. I was getting 0.18's on my activa and that told me I needed to replace the cushion (I oniginally was getting 0.06) Now with my Swift LT I'm getting 0.00 consistently. If your mask is old, replace the cushion. If it's new there are other reasons IMO.

YES!

You should be aiming for 0.1 or less IMO!

Cheers,

Bill

My leak dropped a little to .20, but my other numbers went in the wrong direction. My AHI went from 2.4 to 4.1, AI stayed at 1.0 and my HI went from 1.4 to 3.1. My pressure was 11.0 and 10.8. I have been using a CPAP since 2001 and switched to the Autoset Thursday. My cushion is less than a month old. Not sure I can tighten it anymore. When I went to bed, I did a mask test and it reported excellent seal. I have always had problems with masks leaking and have quite the collection of masks sitting in big box (I could almost go into the DME business with my supply). The Mirage Vista so far is the only one which has the least amount of leak and doesn't bore a hole in bridge of my nose. I've tried pillows as well, but still had bad leaks.

Tried a Quattro

Have you tried a Quattro mask?

I've been having very very good results with it.
