CPAP cabinet and pole on Auction

Post by Babette » Fri Sep 05, 2008 1:58 pm

Hey, did you notice this on today's top feed?

http://www.cpapauction.com/auction-list ... -pole.html

Slick! I'm using a bookshelf next to my bed, but I can really see how this cabinet might actually be more convenient for me. Good height, and yet it's still off the floor. I really like the wheels. I can envision hallway racing... Good thing I don't have rugrats...

Good going - whoever you are that invented this!!!!

Cheers,
Babs

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

It looks low but the pole is nice, would you need a longer hose or is the 6 footer ok?

Low is good. Helps with rainout. As for length of hose, I dunno. I personally wouldn't use the pole - I don't like having my hose dangling in the air over my head. You could email the creator and ask him/her.

Cheers,
B.

That is cool. Someone had a great idea there. If it were just a little taller they could include a small drawer for the masks, supplies and face wipes. I would also take it a step further by adding an above board hand pump leading to the distilled water jug stored below, with a retractable rubber hose that will reach the humidifier opening. Add some cord managment in the rear with surge suppressor and an attached gooseneck lamp and I could replace my small crowded night stand that is very ill suited to my current arrangement.

Thanks for the link. I'm going to sketch up a drawing tonight.

OOOO!!!!!!!! I think you're definitely onto something there, Cloud 9! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

BTW, I'm open for product testing, if you need a guinea pig.

LOL,

Seriously.... For the last week I have been perusing thrift shops, furniture stores, and garage sales for something to accommodate all this extra stuff next to my bed. I'm so glad I saw this stand. The basic concept is clever, yet it falls short for my use in a few respects. I would not need the hose stand, but a gooseneck flourescent lamp would be ideal for reading before lights out.

How about a little awning that shades the Death Star Blue Light Rays from the user's line of vision?
Maybe you could automate it so the awning would unfurl whenever the machine begins to push air through the hose, then retract when it stops.
