setting the e p r
setting the e p r
I'm still relatively new to this apnea thingy. I was wanting to know how to set the epr on my cpap. I had a clinician tell me it should be on the menu of the cpap. I looked and looked and no dice and I checked the manual and all i got out of it was that the clinician would have to activate it if it isn't already. I'm sure i could do it myself which would be easier than taking it to the docs office and having them do it which isn't handy at times. Anybody know please let me know... Thanks ...

Please fill out your profile so we'll know WHICH machine you have. I presume that since you used the term "EPR", that it's a ResMed "something". However, some ResMed machines (the cheapest ones) don't even have EPR......like the Compact and Escape.
Look for:
Pressure Relief on Exhale: No

Den
.
IF your machine is not one of those and does indeed have EPR, then these are the instructions to access the Setup configuration.
1. Accessing the Clinical Menu
Turn on the device and wait until the standby (RAMP/SETTLING) screen appears on the LCD.
At this stage you can adjust the ramp/settling time.
Press the DOWN and RIGHT keys simultaneously for 3 seconds to access the clinical menu.
2. Changing Options and Settings.
Press the LEFT (menu) key to access the SETTINGS menu screen.
Use the UP and DOWN keys to scroll through the RESULTS, OPTIONS and SERVICING menu screens.
From a menu screen, use the LEFT (enter) key to access the parameters in that menu.
Use the UP and DOWN keys to scroll through menu parameters.
Use the LEFT key to view or change each parameter setting as required.
Press the RIGHT (exit) key until you return to the standby (RAMP/SETTLING) screen.
