Have you had coughs or other lung problems since CPAP
Re: Have you had coughs or other lung problems since CPAP
I voted yes. I've had low grade shortness of breath for several months. Lungs are fine, heart is fine. After lots of tests the drs have no idea why. I've experimented with the humidifier. Higher settings relieve dryness, but makes no difference on the other problem, higher, lower or not at all.
Once I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken.

I am another no. I have just graduated to being one of those on cpap longer than one month so I don't have much time to consider. I do notice once in a while my chest is tight. But this seems to correlate with the days I also get my notice about pollen count being higher. I did notice my nap today was odd then remembered to turn down the humidifier. I need more moisture at night than day for some reason.

I voted yes. I, too have had all kinds of tests to figure out what's wrong.
I'm pretty sure it's the GERD. Actually, I had Endoscopy 10 days ago and they found an Esophogeal Diverticulum and Gastitis.
I did not have the Diverticula (which is a pouch on my esophogus) when I started CPAP. I've wondered if the pressure from the CPAP caused this thing. Probably not. Anyway, I always have stuff in my throat, so I have this annoying cough. Don't know if it's the treatment. But I'm not sleepy anymore, so it's a wide awake cough , at least.
