I have no explanation for what you're describing. In fact, if you're opening your "patient file" before doing each download, and doing the download at least once every 5 days, detail data for EVERY day should be saved on your computer, even though the machine and the card only keep 5 days. I know of no other special settings or options, as long as you do the download for "all available data" as you are doing. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Folks,
I've been using my ResLink and ResScan 3.5 for about 20 days now and I'm definitely not an expert on sleep apnea or computers. I recently was out-of-town for 11 days without my laptop. When I came home I put my card into the card reader and I got summary and detailed data for all 11 days. (I'm now wondering just how many days I can store on my card.) Just thought I'd throw this in for people who are trying to get more data from their card.

The data available via ResLink is much greater than is available via a ResScan card!

Again, I don't know how else I can send this so I'll do it here. THANK YOU, Velbor for the information and your encouragement. I haven't figured out how I can send message directly to you, so I hope you'll see this.

wireless wrote:Slinky or anyone else -- I am not sure, but I think my ResScan 3.5 is only saving and downloading ONE detailed session? The manual says it's supposed to do something like 5 detailed sessions, or at least 3... Is there a setting I need to change?
Wireless,

This is what I did and I have three straight months of daily detailed data from my Rescan software download.

First Hold the "Right" and "Bottom" buttons at the same time, for about 3 seconds. This will open up the clincian's menu.

Press the "left" button and it will open to settings.

Then push the "Bottom" button 2-3 times and the down arrow will bring you out to The "Options menu.

At the Options menu push Left button to Enter.

Now push Bottom button 6 times to come to type of menu.

Push Top button to go to "Advanced Menu."

Now push Right button to exit.

I insert my data card into S8 Elite every morning and when I download data I always make certain that I click on Select and change the summary data to all available data or detailed data. This way you should get detailed data every day, not just 1-5 days.

For those of you who want to change your summary data that is already in your software it is easy to do.

I changed all mine. I can't remember at this moment how I did it, but this morning I forgot to change the summary data on the download to all available or detailed data so I chose not to save it when the message came up to save. I then re-downloaded the data making certain I selected all available or detailed data and not summary data alone. I got my detailed data and saved it.

I think I overwrote all the other summary data and then changed it to detailed but it took a long time to do all the past files on the software.
You might want to try it with one file first, before you attempt all your files. Since I have the software on both my laptop and a cpu I wasn't concerned about taking a risk to see if it worked. Since I have every single file in detailed state, I guess it did work.

It makes you wonder what else can we find out that we may not have been aware of?

Anne

Not sure if this helps or not but have a look at my recent posting
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34375#p295978
for a description of the data stored by many of the newer ResMed flow generators
(as described by a ResMed Technician)

I'm not sure what the other descriptions above were all about, but they seem to be making what is a relatively simple and straightforward operation overly complex!

With ResScan 3.5 I pick the "Selected data" radio button, then tick the "Selected detailed data sessions" tick box, then select the number of detailed session I want... and it loads them! If you try to load data onto a date record that already has data loaded, it will give you the option of discarding that data from the card (that is, not overloading) or discarding the data in the record and overloading it with the data from the card,

(Note: You can only ever get the most recent 5 detailed sessions using a ResScan card, but there are some other clinical connectivity solutions which give greater depth of detailed data for some specific sleep-lab type set ups, so there are choices for larger amounts of data.)

Cheers,

Bill
