A new newbie

Post by buckeyeman » Fri Aug 22, 2008 11:41 pm

Hello all! I've been a long time lurker but this is my first post. Let me start off by saying this is a great site. A lot of very knowledgeable people on here willing to help out. A little history about me. I am 49 and 5'10" and about 210 lbs. Not fat but a little bit of a belly because I like my beer! I'd like to be at around 190lbs. Was at 227 about 8 months ago. Anyway back around March of 06' I decided to get a sleep study because I was tired of being tired, plus my wife hadn't been getting alot of sleep for years. I've been on bi-pap since May of 06'. I was on a full face mask but just hated it. That's when I found this site and saw the Hybid mask. I decided that I had to try it and paid out of pocket for the Hybrid and now have around 5600 hours useing this mask. I use the large cushion and large nasal pillows. I have several sets of the small and medium sets available that I'd like to trade for the large ones. I have excellant insurance so that's not a problem for me, but I'd like to help anybody out that could use these sizes. If anybody would like to make a swap just pm me. Happy sleeping to all!!
Happy Sleeping!!!

Hi Buckeyeman, welcome to the forum! Well we can definitely use pro's like you around on the forum (not for lack a few awesome pro's here already)

I would suggest putting a post here on the "Mask Roulette" thread if you want to make some trades: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=19546&p=291688&hili ... te#p291688 The thread's gotten a bit long but it works

Happy sleeping to you too

Welcome, BuckeyeMan. I take it you are one of those Ohioans. I'm a Michigander. There's room enough for both here tho. I'm on a bi-level too. Haven't been for very long tho. I have a Resmed VPAP Auto and Humidaire 3i integrated humidifier. Its always good to see another bi-level PAPper here as we are in the minority.

Thanks echo for the tip, I'll throw a post on that thread. Slinky, I was started on bi-pap from the beginning and was wondering why you have been on it only recently.
