I bet they ate herring, which is highly beneficial for O's. Try a can of herring.OutaSync wrote:My ancestors were Vikings. Who knows what they ate.
You could ask the Viking Answer Lady:

So that would explain the red hair. And the red hair explains...?
Do you have painful aerophagia? I don't believe you said that at the start of this thread, just that you have a slow transit time. I love to eat, but I am seeing it helps to change a little bit to accomodate - at least, not to eat solid food for 5 hours before bed. I hate it, in fact, and yet - I seem to be feeling better, so -OutaSync wrote: I don't even get off work til sometimes 6 or 7. And I have to be masked up by 10:00. No 5 hours there.
YES! the onioins (or roasted bell peppers) will go a long way to satisfying the sweet tooth, and will make you feel fantastic! Another key to good digestion is food combining. Melon - eat it alone or leave it alone. You can eat meat with leafy vegetables or you can eat leafy vegetables with starchy carbs, but you can't eat starchy carbs with meat (and expect to digest well). that's the Reader's Digest condensed version. I used to have a chart on my fridge my colon therapist gave me - it's very helpful to know what goes with what.OutaSync wrote: I tried your recipe and it tasted great!! I had that and a petite filet mignon with carmelized oninons.
Now you know in your body what I was talking about with my stories about how different foods affect the system, and how one can tune into the body's sense of what fuels work best for one's body. Isn't that cool to eat a meal and know it hit the spot in a profound way?
Funny, huh? I know. Certain foods on my avoid list make me feel obviously bad, in different ways. Avocados make the inside of my mouth hurt as if from a mild chemical burn. I eat a littel once in a while, like guacamole - but only a litle and rarely.OutaSync wrote: No bread for two days. What's with the avacados? I always thought they were one of the super foods and with this diet they are on everybody's AVOID list.
There are tradeoffs here: you may give up certain things, but look at what you can gain: for example, if you can get great quality red meat, you can eat as much meat as you want as a type O, and the more meat you eat, the faster you'll lose weight.
Who knew?
