Swift LT Problem

Post by Murphy » Wed Aug 13, 2008 5:48 pm

I have been using the Swift LT for over a month and love it, but I have one problem with it. Because you wear it loose the side straps rub and cut my ears. Is anyone else having this problem?

I haven't had that problem with the LT but don't wear it loose enough to touch my ears. I've had the problem with other masks but using the pad-a-cheek covers made everything all better

Yes, I had the same exact problem. Also the pillows are longer than the Swift II. They seemed to go too far inside my nares and irritated really bad. I have since went back to the Swift II. It is much more comfortable to wear.

Add me to the cut ear list. I took some small hose cover that DreamStalker sent me and cut out two small piece that fit over the areas around the ears. So far it's working pretty good. Ugly as hell, but functional.

Resmed really needs to address this issue.

Folded the part that goes over my ears in half and sewed it that way. Seems to largely remove the problem.

The bottom of the strap rubbing the top of my ear was also a problem with the original Swift. ResMed needs to have an allowance for this in their design - something that allows for greater ear clearance, or at least not leaving the bottom edges of the straps 'raw' to cut our ears.

Maybe y'all just need to get bigger heads (or smaller ears ) ... mine is not a problem

I just called Resmed about this...we'll see if anything comes of it. I won't be holding my breath, but they took my name and number and I referred them to this web site for their own education.

Just got thru taking a "little off the ears" of the headgear. We'll see how that works. Got to cut thru a sewn seam to trim the head gear up...hope it doesn't come apart in the middle of the night. If it does, I'll always have my trusty Adams to fall back on.
