Newbie’s, Question Authority!!!

If it had not been for the information I gained from reading this site, I most likely would have settled for whatever equipment I had been “given” by my sleep center. However, I now have the equipment I think is best for my therapy, AT A COST LESS THAN THE EQUIPMENT THEY ORIGINALY WANTED TO “GIVE” ME. Today, when I exchanged my original equipment for an M Series W/ A-Flex, the DME wanted to charge me an additional $139.00 co-pay. When I questioned as to why I had to pay a second co-pay, the person dealing with me went to the manager, and after several minutes of hushed conversation returned to tell me it is because I am changing masks. I informed her that I was only exchanging the lesser machine they had given me instead of the A-Flex they had demo’ed, and that I had left the mask at home as I was satisfied with it, she returned to the manager for more hushed conversation. She then returned and stated that they had made a mistake and had charged for a BiFlex machine. After being caught, they refunded my original co-pay of $104.00, and charged a $ 99.00 co-pay. I now need to check with my insurance to see what they have charged them. Remember, it is YOUR MONEY PAYING FOR THIS EQUIPMENT.

I think I will call the State Attorney’s General, Office of Consumer Affairs.

NOW IT IS TIME TO GIT STARTED WITH MY THERAPY!

Authority?? WHAT authority, GatorMan! YOU are paying THEM whether via insurance or out of pocket, YOU are still the one paying THEM!!! That makes YOU the employER and THEM the employEE! So who in their right mind gives employEEs authority over the employER??

Congratulations on catching their shenanigans. Yer right, employEEs like them SHOULD be fired!
