Is anyone losing weight because of CPAP

Post by mynameisangel » Mon Aug 11, 2008 12:28 pm

Wondering if anyone has experienced a gradual weight loss after using CPAP. I've been using CPAP for 3 months and I seem be losing a pound every two weeks. Slow but steady

I've lost about 10 lbs. to date, but I am trying and exercising (last two weeks after vacation). Before CPAP diet and exercise didn't have much effect and I got discouraged quickly.

Me too! It's wonderful!
For me, since I'm sleeping so much better I no longer feel compelled, make that DRIVEN, to constantly eat. I've lost an easy 10 lbs.

I was hoping for the reaction that you have had, but unfortunately, I've gained at least 25 lbs! No fun...

Deglorious,

Don't feel alone in that. I've gained nearly 20 pounds in 11 months since CPAP. Other than that one night, I still don't sleep well and still feel like whale poop on the bottom of the ocean. But I always find one more thing to try, and I haven't given up hope.

I'm not losing weight, staying the same.
