5.4 Earthquake in Los Angeles, California

Post by SleepyNoMore » Tue Jul 29, 2008 2:39 pm

I have just heard, well about 2 hours ago that L.A. and Chino Hills, CA. had a 5.4 earthquake with some 30 aftershocks so far! So far "NO REPORTS" of any injuries or major damage, "Thank God"!

I am about 105 miles north of L.A. and some of us here felt the quake, it's getting scarrier by the day as I have heard most of my life that the "BIG ONE" is going to hit at any given moment... The thing is, there one only very few of us that are prepared in the event that disaster strikes!

Here are just a few things we would need:

1. 1-2 gallong of drinking water per person, per day

2. Canned foods such as beans, vienna sausage, etc..

3. Manual can opener

4. Peanut Butter, nuts (protein)

5. Protein Bars, dry cereal

6. Toilet paper, 4-5 rolls, napkins, paper towels, plastic ware such as plates, bowls, forks & spoons.

7. wash cloths and towels, and bar soap

8. First aid kit, gauze, tape, antibiotic ointment, peroxide and alcohol

9. Flashlight and batteries

10. Small Bucket to use for washing face and body down daily, baby wipes...

11. Pillows, blankets, and a couple change of clothes

If anyone can add anthing extra, please feel free to do so as I know I have missed alot of much needed supplies!

CALIFORNIAN'S, TAKE CARE, "GOD" Bless and STAY SAFE!!!

We have two seasons in soCal... 'Fire', and 'Earthquake'. This year, they seem to be overlapping.
