OptiLife Users Question

Post by Grump » Mon Jul 28, 2008 3:33 pm

The "Tube Management Clip" for my Optilife fell apart this past weekend and haven't had any luck finding a replacement. I looked for a part number in the Instructions for Use and couldn't find one, so I called Repironics and got the part number (1039967) and was told they don't sell to the public, check online stores or my DME. I checked a couple of online stores, CPAP and CPAP Discount, and couldn't find it. So I called my DME and they can't replace just the clip, so I had to order a complete replacement.

Have others found a replacement clip? If not, have you used something else to keep the tube in place?

Thanks,
Art

You can buy packages of the clip with plastic snap thingie at Staples, or most office supply stores. Even some craft stores carry them. Look for badge clips.

The velcro can be found at most craft & sewing stores, or Home depot or Lowes. It's velcro onewrap. It comes in rolls or precut 4 or 5 in a pkg.

I looked at the cpap.com site and they have those clips under "misc". They are $9.99 each. I see you might be getting one from a forum member so this info would be for future reference -- if you should break another or it should wear out.

$9.99 each? I've been throwing those things away as I don't use them.

I have two and keep them attached to my hoses to use with all my mask, they help to stabilize the hose, regardless of which mask I use.

Treesap - Thank you for the offer, I've pm'd you.

sleepngo - one works ok - I'll bet two would work even better. I'll have to give it a try.
