air in the eyes

Post by paulpb » Fri Jul 25, 2008 6:38 am

Hey folks, getting into my 3rd week now, and something is starting to wear on me. It seems like even if I get a good seal with the mask to my face the air vent on the bridge of the nose blows in my eyes. I'm using a Resmed Quattro full face mask. I'm still able to get a new mask by just asking, but I don't really know what would be better. I'm considering trying a smaller mask, since the most common *other* leak spot is right by my eyes, and maybe a smaller mask would have a tighter seal.

or...I'm considering trying to create a dam against the airflow maybe direct it straight out instead of directly into my eyes

If you can't get the eye leaks under control, it is time to try another mask. Leaking anywhere defeats the whole purpose of treatment.

Good luck!

I did say in my post another mask might be an option!

I probably should have quoted his first post where he mentioned he was using the Quattro.

The thread for which I listed the link was a discussion on adjustments to the Quattro.

I fixed it.
