Well, the wife is at her titration....

Post by TR » Tue Jul 22, 2008 10:58 pm

I've been on the hose now for a few months...since March. My wife was dx'd too. Talk about ironic, I went into the lab for her birthday in January as she was complaining of my snoring......well, she changed doctors and the first thing her new doc said to her EDS was you need a study........now she is going to be on the hose too......

my poor kids.....they will think that everyone sleeps with a mask!!!!!

My hope is that neither will ever have this, although I know the odds are stacked against them in that........

Well, there are worse things in life than sleeping w/xPAP. Of course, none of us wishes OSA on another (xPAP therapy isn't unpleasant enough to waste wishing OSA on our enemies) but, still, since your wife does have OSA I'm glad to hear she'll be getting the therapy she needs. I hope she will join you and us here in the forum.

Hi,
Let us know how it goes!
Hopefully, you can help her adjust.
My spouse has OSA, too, but un-treated so far.
Best to both of you.

How did the wife's titration turn out???
As the child of a father and brother with OSA, I still found it surreal
that I also was dealing with severe OSA upon my titration. (denial
is a blissful place, lol). But in all honesty, the treatment is AIR..and what could be more natural! My teenage sons think everyone sleeps with
masks as they've seen their grandparents, uncle and now myself with one.
Life is sweet.............esp if you add pursleep!
Sometimes its all a matter of attitude, so sleep well and be well.

Funny stuff....her pressure is 6. She slept ok, but is hopeful that this will really help. Yorkie, my dad has osa, three uncles on my mom's side have it too...now it is effecting my cousins on my mom's side of the family.....three of us have it too. Fat, skinny, short or tall, it targets no specific type within my family. Treatment is a good thing......sleep is a good thing. Dueling CPAPs baby!!!!!!
