Can I access the data on my smart card?

Post by bobby_tee » Wed Jul 16, 2008 1:15 pm

I've just started CPAP treatment (last night was first night, as noted in other post), and I was wondering about something. My machine has a smart card so the Dr can see how the treatment has been going. But I don't see him for 3 months. Is there any way I can access the data that's collected, just to get an idea for myself how it's going?

Yes your "M" Pro is fully data capable. You need a 3500 card reader and Encore Viewer program. Will give lots of information as to how your therapy is really going and will let you tweek your machine for the best results.

Hi Bobby,
I don't have the same machine as your's, but I can press on 2 buttons at the same time, and get the efficacy data from the night before (pressure, leak rate, AHI, HI, AI and time spent with the machine on). Hopefully there's someone here who can tell you if you can do that with your machine.
How do you think it went?

Country4ever: Actually, it went very well I'd say. The biggest complication was that the All-Star game ran late and I didn't get to bed until 1:30!

All in all, it went very smoothly. Didn't wake up or have any problems during the night. Not a huge difference in my energy this morning, but then again I got to bed late, so I'll get a better idea tonight. I'm feeling like the first night was a success, if for no other reason than I had no problems.

On to night #2...

Hopefully night #2 will go the same. Good luck to you. I was a fast adapter to my new bedmate also. Still haven't gotten any mask down yet, but as everyone keeps saying it is a work in progress!
