Duke University sleep dr.'s?

Post by NeedinZs » Sat Jul 12, 2008 7:33 pm

Someone fill me in, if we're not allowed to do this, BUT....

I'm asking for a friend.....has anybody had any experience with any Duke University sleep specialists? It's kind of a complicated case, so don't want this person to go it alone....

Thanks!

I hope you manage to get some relevant input for your friend. In the meantime here's the web page for the Duke Sleep Disorders Center:
http://www.dukehealth.org/Services/SleepDisorders/About

Their seven doctors seem to have a fair mix of specialties complementing sleep medicine:
1) Medicine / Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care
2) Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences / Medical Psychology
3) Medicine / Neurology
4) Pediatrics / Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine
5) Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences / Outpatient Psychiatry
6) Medicine / Neurology
7) Surgery / Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery

Those specialty areas may help your friend pin down a suitable sleep doc. You might also try Googling the names of the physicians just to see what turns up. Good luck.

SWS- Thanks for that link. It all looks good in print.

I know it's a long shot, but just thought someone may have had a wonderful Sleep Dr. experience to report from Duke.

I appreciate your response-SWS.
