I don't do well with cflex either but everyone is different. Your struggle may not have anything to do with cflex.

Fill out your profile so members know what equipment you use.

In any case, if you really feel that it is the cflex that is not working ... why not trun it off or try aflex if it is available to you?

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Ditto on DreamStalker's advice. That's why these machines have multiple options. It could also be that whoever set it up (assuming it wasn't you) has it configured wrong (like wide-open pressure settings of 4 - 20 cm). If the pressure is too low and/or the C-Flex setting is too much (like "3"), it could cause you to struggle to get enough air.

Please give us more information on your setup.

I would advise you to turn your cflex completely off and see what happens. If that isn't good, try setting it on one of the other settings. There are 3 levels of cflex.

I just learned my friend who is using my machine didn't sleep good last night. I set him up with cflex of 3, and he's never used cflex before. I advised his wife to reset the machine to NO CFLEX for tonight and report back.

What other settings are you using? Are you at straight pressure, or Auto, or Bi? Are you using HH or passover or none? All of these have an impact.

Cheers,
Babs

When I first started having problems, I had the therory that the c-flex might be allowing enough relief that my throat was collapsing so I turned it off, helped some. A couple weeks ago I decided I'm feeling better, lets try it again (just setting 1). Ugh - IMO I can't use c-flex. Maybe that's your problem too.

Well, what is the problem with the cflex? Do you feel like you're not getting enough air? I need more input to evaluate the problem.

If 1 is a problem, and 0 is a problem, why not try 2 or 3?

Or is it a pressure problem?

Good luck!!!!

Hmmmm... doesn't sound like you have a problem with CFLEX then. If your lungs no longer ache, then it sounds like the CFLEX is working for you.

I'd investigate the following:

1) Mask leakage
2) Air leakge out of the mouth (maybe not an issue with a FF)
3) Pressure

The first two are the most common culprits. Third one.... Could be you need to NOT be running straight CM - maybe you need to run in AUTO mode, or BiPap?

Maybe it IS your mask. Maybe you need to try another mask? Took me 8 masks in 6 weeks to get decent therapy.

Cheers,
Babs

No, it means that I was typing away on a reply post.....got interrupted by a phone call and when I got to finish my post, I noticed that Babs had said pretty much the same thing and then saw that you had answered her questions.

So, I deleted what I had originally said and changed it to that.

C-Flex only acts on exhale. On exhale your airway is forced open by your lungs, if your airway closes off on exhale, you need a stent and a iron lung. Jim

Think of a closed off hose, suck on it it falls shut, blow on it it opens up.
